Judith Garrison, Watkinsville, GA, is a journalist and freelance travel writer as well as the editor of Georgia Connector magazine. She has contributed to publications including Deep South Magazine, WHERE, Simply Buckhead, AAA, GoNomad, Peach State Publications, Interval World, US Airways Magazine, and currently writes a bi-monthly column in Blue Ridge Country magazine online; she is also an award-winning photojournalist. She and her husband Leonard own Seeing Southern L.L.C., specializing in writing and photography projects for clients. She was raised in Clarkesville, Georgia, schooled at the University of Georgia (M.Ed.), and remains a Southern lady to the core. She is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers. Having spent many years in the classroom teaching American Literature, she escaped and now travels the South with her husband in search of narratives which capture the culture and spirit of an incredible place filled with unforgettable people.
