Just thirty minutes north of the bustling center of Georgia’s capitol city is one of Atlanta’s most historic towns. Founded in 1839, the city of Roswell exudes modern spirit while still staying true to its Southern soul. It is home to a 640-acre Historic District that provides a wide variety of activities for guests to enjoy, from tours of antebellum historic house museums and ghost walks, to monthly festivals and a vibrant arts community. IFWTWA Journalists are invited to the 5th Annual Roswell Wine Festival on October 1!

When: Sunday, October 1* to Tuesday, October 3, 2017
*Special arrangements for hotel, dinner, breakfast and transfers will be made with writers who need to arrive Saturday, September 30 in order to be prompt for the 12 noon start on October 1.

Important Details: Our hosts will provide a travel stipend of $50 to writers from metro Atlanta and up to $300 for those beyond metro Atlanta, ground transportation, hotel, events, tours, and meals.
The Visit Roswell CVB will cover all service charges and gratuities.
RCVB suggests that all writers flying into Atlanta use MARTA (conveniently located at the terminal) to the end of the line at the North Springs Station. With a call to the Holiday Inn, a free shuttle will be sent for transport to the hotel. RCVB will be happy to reimburse the MARTA fees.
