Carol O’Hara, owner of Cat*Tale Press, is a writer/photographer, editor, publisher/publishing consultant, speaker, and conference director, who has also taught personal experience writing, privately and for college adult education departments.

She has edited and consulted on writing-related subjects for clients throughout the United States and in the United Kingdom and has published four personal experience books – two on writing (one a regional best-seller), a book of animal antics, and a cookbook – besides presenting programs on writing and self-publishing to businesses, colleges, universities, and associations throughout the United States. Carol has also directed or co-directed writing conferences for colleges, universities, and associations, including two aboard cruise liners.

Carol, a Tucson, Arizona native who has won awards for her writing and editing, has written numerous articles for newspapers and periodicals including The Arizona Daily Star and the Sacramento (CA) Bee, Arizona Highways, International Travel News, Nevada Magazine, Open World, Steinway and Sons, and Writer’s Digest. Her degrees include: Associate in Arts in liberal arts in journalism; BA English (Creative Writing Option) from San Francisco State University, and graduate study in English, business and education from California State University, Sacramento. Her on-going education includes attendance at writing classes and retreats to keep her writing and editing skills current. She is presently seeking editing clients.

She is a twenty-year member and former Board Officer for International Food, Wine, and Travel Writers’ Association, a thirty-year member of California Writers’ Club, and a member of Society of Southwestern Authors in Arizona. Carol has lived in Japan, spent time in all regions of the United States, and visited more than 38 countries in her travels. She and her family make their home in northern California, from where she continues to write travel and general interest articles, and is researching and writing three books– one a chronology of her many years of cruise travel, which includes a brief history of each of the ships she sailed aboard, and two historical memoirs of her family’s military history spanning more than four wars.
