David J. Latt cooks, eats and blogs from Pacific Palisades overlooking Santa Monica Bay, on the western edge of Los Angeles. His food and travel writing takes him around the country and across the globe in search of exotic locations and rare treats. Blessed with a hearty constitution, he once ate at 25 West Texas steak and barbecue joints in 36 hours in pursuit of the best bone-in-ribeye steak, chicken fried steak and fatty brisket. An Emmy ® Award winning producer for his work on the acclaimed Hill Street Blues and nominated for a second Emmy for producing David Lynch’s ground breaking Twin Peaks, he maintains that cooking kept him sane during long, difficult shoots, enduring unseasonal blizzards, substance abusing actors and over budget productions. He published the first in a series of eCookbooks entitled 10 Delicious. 10 Delicious Holiday Recipes focuses on holiday celebrations. In addition to writing about food for Zester Daily and his own sites, Men Who Like to Cook and Men Who Like to Travel, he has contributed to the New York Times Dinning, One for the Table, and Traveling Mom. He continues to develop for television and is also a travel contributor to Peter Greenberg, Luxury Travel Magazine, Destination Luxury, Westways Magazine and New York Daily News online and print. Recently he turned the research for a Zester Daily article about holiday candy into a new business. D.Chocolates sells handmade chocolates. Using high quality ingredients Latt’s artisanal chocolates use savory layers to turn each bite into a sensory adventure.
