Emily Benson-Scott is a freelance travel writer and poet based in New York City. She received her B.A. in International Relations from Cornell University and her M.F.A in creative writing from Goddard College. Her travel writing has appeared in: Postcards Magazine, Ultratravel, Venice, and Global Writes. Her poems have appeared in: Atlanta Review, Green Hills Literary Lantern, Cold Mountain Review, Nimrod International Journal, Jewish Currents, and Blue Stocking Society. Her book reviews and short stories have appeared in: Colorado Review and Potpourri. She works remotely as a freelance writer and online adjunct professor and is almost always on the road. Unless a specific assignment beckons her to a new location–Mexico, Italy or Scotland–she divides her time between New York City, the South of France, and the Florida Keys.
