Gwen Pratesi is a James Beard Foundation Award Finalist in Journalism and an award-winning food and travel writer. She is the coauthor and owner of, coauthor of Southern Heat with Chef Anthony Lamas, and co-owner with her husband of On the Road Culinary Adventures, a culinary travel business. Gwen has been featured on numerous websites and in newspapers, including, Bon Appé and, the LA Times, HuffPost Taste, and the Atlanta Journal Constitution. She has also been a speaker at food and writing conferences in the Southeast. She is a bimonthly contributor to U.S. News & World Report, freelances for various online and other publications such as and, and chronicles her love of international travel and experience as a professional home cook on, where she shares the stories of some of the world's most sought after destinations, highly regarded chefs, farmers, and wine and spirits producers. She and her husband reside in Atlanta, Georgia with their Tibetan Terrier, Beamer.
