Board Member, Chair — Membership Committee

As a chef and travel writer, I specialize in exploring cultural and geographical influences on cuisine and way of life. I look for connections among people, their activities, the environment and what they eat, that tell the stories – whether that be in the remote Andes Mountains or the streets of Philadelphia. Publications include my travel web site on Argentina and articles covering a diverse range of countries and cultures at I am the Philadelphia and International Dining Examiner, Culinary Travel, International Travel and Food & Recipes Examiner at, travel and culinary tourism for and contributing writer for City Suburban News (Philadelphia). I’m a member of the Board of Directors of the International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association, an active member in the American Culinary Federation and the International Culinary Tourism Association. My cv includes 40 years experience: front/back of house in restaurants/hotels, management, catering, chef/educator and writer. I lived for some years in Puerto Rico and Nova Scotia, and I travel extensively in southern South America, Southeast Asia, Europe, North America and southern Africa.
