When visiting the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, I expected a history of the space program. Unexpected was the excitement I felt in wanting to return and experience more—and even hopefully go to Space Camp in the future.
The various Space Camp programs are designed for ages seven and up—children to adults, and open to families, educators and those seeking corporate team-building activities. They offer something for everyone in 52 weeks of camp adventures.
As guests enter this state-run, privately funded NASA centre, their first vision is of the world’s only vertical standing Saturn V Replica. Once inside, everything comes to life. If you want to research and study rockets, it’s all there. If space is your interest, there are more than 1,500 artifacts from America’s achievement in space exploration.
